The 6th Annual Cabin Fever Arts Festival will be held the last Saturday in February. The festival is organized by the Appalachian Artisans Guild, in conjunction with the Art Department at Southern State Community College. The college sponsors a competition for art students attending high schools in it's service area, which culminates with awards being presented the day of the festival. The event is held at the college's Appalachian Gateway Center, 12681 U.S. 62, Fincastle, Ohio (map). There will be food, live music, and many booths featuring handmade traditional arts and crafts exemplifying the Appalachian experience. Admission is free.

Handcrafted quilts will be on display, featuring creations by three local quilting groups: Bits and Pieces (Greenfield), Country Quilters (Hillsboro), and Highland County Quilters).
Jim will be sharing his miniature antique farm implements.
The U. S. Grant Homestead Association celebrates the life and legacy of Ulysses S. Grant and the Brown County Civil War soldiers. The group will have a room filled with photographs and displays of weapons, maps, equipment and food to illustrate the life style, struggle, and accomplishments of the local Civil War soldier.
Preregistration is required. Email us at member@appartguild.com to register. Payment can be made the day of the festival.
The Gardeners will be donating their time to assist with registering guest, providing information, handing out door prizes and helping guests navigate around the building. They also will be manning their own booth in the Gateway Center, to answer questions about their organization.
